Drone roof survey
The roof, from above.
Nobody can price a roof from the pavement. We fly a drone over every slope, chimney, valley and gutter, circle what we find on the photographs and write it up, before anyone quotes you anything.

What you get
Four things, in this order.
A ten-minute flight
Every slope, every chimney, every valley and gutter photographed from above in high resolution. No ladders on your roof, no guessing from the pavement.
Annotated photographs
Each problem is circled and named on the photograph: slipped slate, cracked ridge, failed flashing, blocked valley. You can see exactly what we are quoting for.
A written report
Condition of each element, what needs doing now, what can wait, and a rough life expectancy for the roof. Yours to keep, whoever does the work.
A fixed quote
The quote is built from the report, so it covers what is actually there. Scaffold, skip, materials, labour and VAT in one figure.

Why it matters
Eleven slates, or a whole roof?
One of our customers in Talbot Green had two quotes for a full re-roof before we flew his. It needed eleven slates and a new valley: £380. The other way round happens too: a "quick repair" on a roof whose battens have gone is money thrown at it. The photographs settle it, and because you keep them, you can get a second quote on exactly the same facts.
- No ladders on your roof and nobody walking on fragile slates to look
- Chimneys, valleys and back gutters, which cannot be seen from the ground, in close-up
- A dated record of the roof's condition, useful when selling or claiming
- Flown by a qualified pilot, insured, and not over the neighbours
What it costs
Free with any quote. If you want the survey and report without a quote, for a house purchase, an insurance claim or a second opinion, it is £95, deducted from the bill if you later book the work with us.
What we need from you
- The address and a phone number. We fly from the garden or the drive, so someone should be in or have told us where to stand.
- About twenty minutes. Ten to fly, ten to talk through what we saw on the screen.
- Dry-ish weather and wind under about 25 mph. We rebook rather than fly in a gale.
What the report looks like
A PDF of eight to twenty pages: an overview photograph of each slope, close-ups of each problem with a circle and a one-line description, a condition summary for the covering, ridges, valleys, flashings, chimneys, gutters and fascias, a list of what needs doing now and what can wait, and our estimate of how many years the roof has left. The quote is a separate document so you can hand the report to anyone.
