Our spaniel has stayed six times and now drags us up the lane. Photo every evening, usually mid-ball. Collected clean, tired and pleased with himself. The oak is as good as they say.
Reviews
What the owners say.
Six reviews, one for each part of the stay, including the four-star one about Christmas. The full set is on the review platforms we are listed on, and we read every one of them.
Collected by a third-party review platform. Names shortened at the reviewers' request.
Fourteen-year-old collie, deaf, on three tablets. Quiet end, same kennel hand every day, chart signed for every dose, and Helen rang on day two to say she was eating. That phone call is why we will not go anywhere else.
Dan collected our two at eight the morning we flew and had them home before we had unpacked. Text ten minutes before, both times. Worth every penny of the £22.
Excellent kennels, properly run, and the vaccination rule is reassuring. Four stars because we could not get a Christmas booking two years running; book in October, they say, and they mean it.
Nervous rescue greyhound. Viewing, trial day, two nights, then a week. The written report after the first stay was honest to the point of bluntness and completely right. She sleeps in the quiet end now.
Three real walks a day, not a supervised scrum. Our two go out together and nobody else's dog goes near them, which after a bad experience elsewhere is the whole point.
About the four stars
Tom is right about Christmas. We will not add suites to fix it.
Twenty-four suites is what three people can walk properly three times a day, and Christmas fills them by the middle of October, two years running now. We could put up a row of kennels in the second barn for the fortnight, and we have decided not to: the dogs in them would get the walks that the other twenty-four did not. So the answer is the one Tom quoted. Book in October, and if you boarded with us the Christmas before, we ring you in September before the list opens.

Book a stay, collect a tired dog, and tell the next owner what it was like. Good or bad, it stays up.
