Getting here

Where

Hollow Oak Farm, Cross Inn Lane, a mile north of Llantrisant and ten minutes from junction 34 of the M4. The stone farmhouse with the barns and the enormous oak in the yard; the kennels are the long barn on the right.

Parking

Plenty, on the yard. Drive in through the gate and pull up by the oak; the drop-off door is the green one with the bell. Please keep dogs on the lead in the yard until they are handed over.

Drop-off and collection

Eight to ten in the morning and four to six in the afternoon, every day of the year. Outside those hours by arrangement, or let the van do it.

Viewings

Saturdays between eleven and one without an appointment, or any time by arrangement. Bring the dog. You see the suites, the paddocks, the kitchen and the quiet end, and meet whoever is on.

Bus and taxi

The 124 and 404 stop at Cross Inn, a ten-minute walk up the lane. Taxis from Llantrisant and Pontyclun know the farm; ask for Hollow Oak, not the postcode, which lands you in the wrong lane.

The vet

Our vet is four miles away and on the phone at any hour. If your own vet is nearer and you would prefer them, write it on the registration form with the practice number.

Lost in the lanes? Ring 01632 960 905. Look for the oak.

Book a stay, or come and look.

Give us the dates, the dog and whether two are sharing, and Helen replies within a day with the suite, the price and the deposit. Viewings on Saturdays, eleven to one, no appointment. Bring the dog.
