You should not have to buy the second most photographed outfit of the day from a rail at the back. You get the room, the two hours and the tea.
We carry dresses, jackets and soft trouser suits in sizes 8 to 26, in colours that work with the bridesmaids without matching them. If you know what the other mother is wearing, tell us. If you do not, we keep a note on the wedding file so nobody ends up in the same shade by accident.
Comfort matters more than anyone admits. You will be standing, sitting, dancing and being hugged for twelve hours, and our first test for a jacket is whether you can raise both arms.

Questions about mothers of the bride
Is it for mothers of the groom as well?
Of course. The same goes for grandmothers and for anyone else who has been told to wear a hat.
How far ahead?
Twelve weeks is comfortable. Most outfits are in stock or arrive within six weeks.
Do I need to buy shoes from you?
No, but bring the ones you mean to wear. Helen pins hems to the shoe, not to the floor.

Appointments are free and there is nothing to sign. Tuesday to Saturday, on Eastgate. Saturdays go first, so look at the weekdays if you can.
