Reviews

What they told us.

Six reviews, including a fair one about a delivery date we should have told someone about before she had to ask.

Six of them.

Bride, A-line

I said I hated lace and Angharad didn't argue, she just asked what I wear on a good day. Then she brought out a plain crepe I would never have looked at. I came back a week later and bought it.

Sample rail

Eleven weeks to the wedding after we moved the date for my dad. They told me straight it was too late to order, showed me the sample rail, and I walked out with a gown at £480. Helen made it look made for me.

Mother of the bride

I had been dreading this. I was given the same room and the same tea as my daughter, and Angharad made me raise both arms in every jacket. It is the first time I have felt taller.

Bride, size 24

I have been in bridal shops where I was handed a sample and told to imagine it. Here the dresses were already out, in something close to my size, before I arrived. I cried, but not for the usual reasons.

Bridesmaids

Lovely dresses and good help with five very different bridesmaids. We did have to chase once for a delivery date, and parking in Cowbridge on a Saturday with five women is an adventure.

Alterations

I bought my gown online and it did not fit at all. Helen did not say I told you so. She rebuilt the straps, added a bustle, showed my sister how to do it up, and charged me exactly what the quote said.

About the four stars

Lowri had to chase us. She should not have had to.

Our makers send delivery dates by email and they change. For a while nobody was checking those emails against the wedding file. Now every order has a date in the diary six weeks after it goes in, and on that date we check with the maker and tell you what they said, even if it is nothing new. As for parking on a Saturday with five women, we are working on the rest of Cowbridge.
