Home whitening, clear aligners, bonding, veneers
Whitening and straightening
The things people ask about quietly: whitening done safely by a dentist, clear aligners to straighten teeth without braces, composite bonding to fix chips and gaps, and veneers when they are genuinely the right answer.

Cosmetic dentistry done well is invisible. The aim is teeth that look like yours, straighter and brighter, not a row of identical white tiles. We will tell you when the small option is the better one.
Whitening is by a dentist, which in the UK is the only legal way to get the concentration that works. We make custom trays from a digital scan, you wear them at night for two to three weeks with the gel, and the result lasts years with an occasional top-up. It is safe on healthy teeth and we check first; it is not suitable for crowns or fillings at the front, which we will say.
Clear aligners straighten crowded or spaced teeth with a series of nearly invisible trays, changed every week or two, over six to eighteen months, with a scan at the start that shows you the planned result before you commit. Composite bonding repairs chips, closes small gaps and reshapes edges in a single visit with no drilling. Veneers are for the cases where bonding will not do, and we are honest about which those are: they involve removing enamel and they are for life.

Questions about cosmetic
Does whitening damage the teeth?
Not when it is done by a dentist at the legal concentration with custom trays. Some sensitivity during the two or three weeks is common and settles. Over-the-counter kits and beauty-salon whitening are either too weak to work or illegal and risky; we see the damage from the second kind.
