Getting there

Come early on a home Saturday, because the car park fills by quarter past nine.

Trethomas Park

Off Standard Street in Trethomas, a mile from the centre of Bedwas. The five pitches run down towards the river from the car park.

By car

The car park fills by 9:15 on home Saturdays. Overflow is on the road by the school; please leave driveways clear, because the neighbours have been very patient.

By bus

The Caerphilly to Newport bus stops at Trethomas, three minutes' walk from the gate. There is a short gap on Saturday mornings, so check the time before you set out.

Which pitch?

A and B are the mini pitches by the gate and pavilion. C is the middle field, D is by the river, and E is the far end. The map on the home page shows them all.

Tea, toilets, shelter

The tea hut opens at 9am on home Saturdays, and the pavilion toilets at 8:45am. There is not much shelter, so bring a coat.

Dogs and drones

Dogs on leads behind the rope, please, and no drones. Nobody takes photographs of other people's children without asking.

Two training sessions free. Then he can tell you.

Wednesday evenings at Trethomas Park, grouped by age. Bring boots or trainers, shin pads if you have them, and a coat for yourself. Ask for the coach of his age group at the car park gate.
