Nain Morgan's bara brith at £9.50 a loaf, Welsh cakes off the bakestone at £8.40 a dozen, a Welsh tea box, posted anywhere in Britain
The Welsh range
The shop is named after it: Nain Morgan's bara brith, fruit soaked overnight in strong tea, at £9.50 a two-pound loaf; Welsh cakes made on the bakestone every morning at £8.40 a dozen; a Welsh tea box of a loaf, a dozen Welsh cakes and a jar of Rudry honey for £24; and a bara brith wedding tier with whisky buttercream. Posted anywhere in Britain on Tuesdays.

Gwenllian's mother made bara brith every Thursday for fifty years from a recipe she never wrote down, and in 2012 Gwenllian wrote it down, named the shop after it and has made it every day since. The fruit soaks overnight in strong tea, the loaf bakes slowly, and it is better on the third day, buttered.
The bara brith is a two-pound loaf for £9.50 or a one-pound for £5.50, made daily and kept for ten days wrapped; it is gluten-full and has egg, and there is a vegan version made with flax on Mondays. Welsh cakes are made on the cast-iron bakestone in the window from eight every morning, with currants and nutmeg and a dusting of caster sugar, £8.40 a dozen or 75p each, and we will make them with chocolate chips for children who insist.
The Welsh tea box is a two-pound bara brith, a dozen Welsh cakes and a jar of honey from Rudry in a printed box for £24, the most posted thing we sell; postage is £5.95 for up to two loaves or one box, sent on Tuesdays so it never sits in a depot over a weekend. For weddings, the bara brith cake (a spiced fruit sponge, not the loaf) with a Penderyn buttercream is one of the twelve tier flavours, and at Christmas we make nine hundred loaves, so order by the first of December.

Questions about bara brith and Welsh cakes
Can you post Welsh cakes?
Yes, in the tea box or a dozen on their own for £5.95 postage. They are best within four days; warm them for ten seconds in a dry pan.
Is the bara brith the same as the bara brith cake?
No. The loaf is the traditional tea bread, sliced and buttered. The cake is a spiced fruit sponge we created for wedding tiers, with a whisky buttercream.
