Questions about eating in

Is everything made here?

The cakes, bread, scones, Welsh cakes and soups, yes, every morning. The sausages and bacon come from the butcher in the market hall and the coffee from a roaster in Crickhowell.

Do you cater for vegans?

There is a vegan full breakfast, a vegan soup at least twice a week, a vegan sandwich, and a vegan cake most days. Oat milk costs no more than dairy.

Can we take food away?

Everything except the full breakfast can go in a compostable box, and we will cook that to take away if you ask nicely.

Do you have a food hygiene rating?

Yes, it is displayed in the window and on the Food Standards Agency website. (On this demonstration site the rating is left for the owner to fill in.)

Come in. There is usually a table, and always cake.

Breakfast until 11:30, lunch until the kitchen closes, cakes and coffee all day, Tuesday to Sunday. Book for six or more, order a whole cake for collection, or hire the café after hours.
