The team

Two therapists, both very patient.

We both spent years in the NHS, and we still think highly of it. Siân works mainly with children, Matthew mainly with adults. Everyone is HCPC registered and enhanced DBS checked.

Siân Griffiths

Speech and language therapist, founder

Siân qualified at Cardiff Met in 2002 and spent twelve years in NHS community clinics in Cardiff and the Vale before opening at Heol-y-Deri in 2014. She works in English and Welsh, and sees mainly children, stammering and school work.

She is also our named safeguarding lead. The team's HCPC and RCSLT numbers are placeholders on this demonstration site.

Matthew Cole

Speech and language therapist, adults

Matthew spent nine years with the stroke team at University Hospital Llandough, and joined in 2019. He does the home visits, stroke rehabilitation and voice work, and is the one to ask about Parkinson's.

He is patient, cheerful about slow progress, and has spent a lot of time in other people's dining rooms.
