Up to forty, at one long table
Small weddings
A small wedding at home, in a barn or in a garden: up to forty guests at one long table, served family style. Tables, linen, and extra hands can all be arranged.

Forty people at one table is a party, not an event. It is about as many as we will take, and we think it is the right number.
We cook on site, usually in the house or a hired field kitchen, and serve big platters down the table, family style, with bowls passed along. It feels like a very good Sunday lunch, and it makes people talk to each other.
A tasting for the two of you comes first, a couple of months before, at £60 and taken off the bill. Then we make a plan with your venue, including power, water, a place to wash up and a wet-weather plan. We can bring in tables, linen, glass and two or three extra hands.
Ask your venue whether it needs a licence for anything you are selling, and do check insurance. We are insured for what we do. For drinks, Cork & Cellar in Monmouth run sale or return and are a friendly bunch.

Questions about small weddings
Can you do more than forty?
We would rather not. Beyond that it stops being what we do well, and we will happily recommend someone who does it better.
Can you bring a field kitchen?
We know people who hire them, and we have cooked in a horsebox.
You have the table. We will bring the dinner.
