Dinner where you are staying
Holiday cottage dinners
On holiday in the Usk Valley, the Black Mountains or Pembrokeshire with friends? We will come to your cottage for the Saturday night, or stock the fridge before you get there.

The whole point of a group cottage is that everybody is together. So it seems a pity for two people to spend the best night in the kitchen.
We work anywhere within about an hour of Cwmbran: the Usk Valley, Abergavenny, the Black Mountains, Brecon, the Gower and the Wye Valley. Pembrokeshire works for bigger groups, with mileage and sometimes an overnight stay.
Holiday kitchens vary. We ask you to send the listing, and we bring our own pans, knives and sometimes a burner. We have not yet met a cottage we could not cook in, though one had only four forks.
If you would rather just arrive to dinner, we can stock the fridge before you do, with a stew for the first night, bread, milk, bacon, eggs and something for the children. Agree access with the owner first; we follow their rules.
What you get
- Cooking in the cottage, with our own kit
- A look at the listing, to plan around it
- Washing up and tidying up
- A welcome fridge if you want one
What it costs
As a dinner party, plus 45p a mile over 25 miles. Welcome fridge from £90. Your night works out a dinner for your table, and the price list has the rest.
Questions about holiday cottages
Is the owner OK with this?
Almost always, but please ask. We leave things as we found them, and we are insured.
Do you do breakfast?
Not usually, but we will leave you one in the fridge, with instructions a child could follow.
You have the table. We will bring the dinner.
Your guests, your courses and a style: the menu, the cost and when we arrive. Then Beca rings to write the real one with you.
