One-to-one and small groups with Eleri
Coaching
Eleri holds a Level 2 coaching badge and has played county. Book an hour for one person, or two to four, to sort out that backhand or to get ready for the league.

One bad habit, corrected in a single hour, can save you three years of the same mistake.
Sessions are on Monday evenings or by arrangement, in a side court, with a basket of shuttles. Eleri feeds, you hit, and she tells you one thing at a time. Most people want the same three things: a backhand clear, a low serve that does not float, and to stop running round the backhand in the first place.
A group of two to four splits the cost, and it is usually better for doubles. Eleri will work on where to stand, when to move, and how to talk to each other, which has saved more than one marriage.
Court hire is in the price. You will need to bring your own racket, or borrow one of the club’s, and the feeling that you were probably doing it wrong.
What you get
- A court, shuttles and the coach
- One thing at a time, written down afterwards
- Video on your own phone, if you want it
- A plan for the next few weeks
- Doubles tactics, for two to four
- No obligation to join the club
What it costs
£28 an hour for one person. Up to four can share for £40. Pay and play or join works out which is cheaper for you.
Questions about coaching
Do I have to be a member?
No, though members get £4 off an hour. You do need to tell her honestly how often you play.
Can you coach my child one-to-one?
Only with a parent or carer in the hall, and with the welfare officer’s rules, and you will be asked to fill in the junior form.
Your first night is free.
Bring flat indoor shoes. We lend the racket, and Alun puts your name on the board.
