A 1960s Italian tricycle with a pink-and-white canopy, eight flavours you choose from the thirty-two, cones, cups and napkins, and two of us scooping: two hours and a hundred scoops for £395, anywhere within an hour of Mumbles from April to October. One booking a day, April to October. Saturdays in June, July and August go a year ahead; Fridays and Sundays are easier.

Off the bill. The balance a fortnight before. Cancel more than three months out and it comes back.
On the day
A flat spot two metres square and a socket within twenty metres.
We arrive an hour before, set up the cart on the flat spot, plug in the freezer and lay out the cones. Two hours of scooping, then we pack up in twenty minutes and leave nothing behind but napkins in the bins. It works on dry grass and under a gazebo if it rains; it needs a door ninety centimetres wide to come inside.

Questions about the cart
What if it rains?
We bring a gazebo and the cart works under it. If the venue moves everything inside, the cart comes in too if the door is ninety centimetres wide; we will check before the day.
Can it come to a venue without power?
It needs a normal socket within twenty metres for the freezer. Without one, we bring a quiet generator for £40 if the venue allows it.

The order form takes the date, the number of guests and the flavours you have in mind; Mali replies within two hours while the parlour is open, and a £100 deposit holds the date.
