On the sea side of Mumbles Road with the striped awning and the bench outside, three minutes' walk from the pier and two from the square. The queue forms to the left; the tub shelf is at the end of the counter for anyone who ordered online.

The parlour
626 Mumbles Road, Mumbles, Swansea SA3 4EA: the little raspberry-pink building with the striped awning on the sea side of the road, by the promenade railings, three minutes' walk from the pier. The bench outside is ours; the queue forms to the left.
Getting here
The number 2 and 3 buses from Swansea bus station stop at Mumbles Square, two minutes away, every ten minutes. On foot or by bike, the seafront path from Swansea is five miles along the bay and the last mile is the best. From the M4, junction 42 and the Mumbles Road all the way.
Parking
The Knab Rock car park by the pier and the Dunns Lane car park behind the square are both pay-and-display and both five minutes' walk. On-street parking on Mumbles Road fills by eleven in summer. A space outside for a tub collection for five minutes is usually possible early or late.
Access
Step-free from the pavement through the door; the parlour is on one level with room for a wheelchair at the counter and two tables; the toilet is step-free with a changing table. The cabinet is at a height a child can see into, and we lift small ones up to choose.
Dogs and children
Dogs welcome inside with a free dog scoop and a water bowl by the door. Children welcome, with the children's sundae, the small scoops, and the free tastes. Two high chairs. The bench outside is the best seat for a sandy family.
Hours
April to September: every day 11am to 9pm, until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays in July and August. October to March: Wednesday to Sunday noon to 6pm, closed Monday and Tuesday, and the school on Saturday mornings. Closed 24 December to 2 January.
