Priced by the minute, not by the nameThirty minutes £38, forty-five £50, an hour £65, ninety £90, whichever treatment you are having and whoever is doing it. The only question is how long the problem needs, and we tell you honestly after the first ten minutes.
Two therapists who train themselvesCarys has done four Ironman races and Jamal played rugby until his shoulder said no. They treat the things they have had, they know what a taper week feels like, and they will tell you when the sensible answer is rest.
A physio when it needs a physioMassage does not fix everything, and we say so. Anything that looks like a tear, a stress response or a joint problem goes to one of three physios we trust, with a letter, and we pick it up again when they discharge you.

Treatments

Six ways in, one price list.

All six

01

Sports massage

The treatment most people book: firm, specific work on the muscles you use most, to keep you training through a block, undo a week of hills, or deal with the calf that has been "a bit tight" since March. Forty-five minutes is the usual; an hour if there are two areas; thirty for a top-up.

Thirty minutes £38, forty-five £50, an hour £65, ninety £90.

02

Deep tissue massage

Slower and heavier than sports massage, for the chronic stuff: the shoulder that has been in a knot since 2019, the lower back that locks up every winter, the hips that sit all day. Forearms and elbows as well as hands, at a depth we agree on and keep checking. Forty-five minutes £50, an hour £65.

Forty-five minutes £50, an hour £65, ninety minutes £90.

03

Pre- and post-event massage

Fast, light, warming work before a race and flushing, restorative work after it, under our gazebo at the Cardiff Half, the Bay 10K and twenty other events a year for £25 a go, or in the clinic in the days either side. We know what a race-week body needs and what it does not, which is deep work.

£25 for twenty minutes at an event, pre or post; book ahead on the day's list or queue.

04

Injury rehab, with a physio when it needs one

Soft-tissue rehab for the strains, the tendon problems and the "it went in week eight" injuries that massage, loading and patience can fix: four forty-five-minute sessions over four to six weeks with a written plan, for £180. And for the things that are not ours, a letter to one of three physios we trust, and the work picked up again when they discharge you.

The rehab block: four forty-five-minute sessions, a written plan and the physio letter if one is needed, £180 (against £200 booked singly).

05

The desk-worker package

For the people whose sport is a laptop: three forty-five-minute sessions a fortnight apart on the neck, the shoulders, the chest and the hips that eight hours of sitting shortens, with a ten-minute look at how you actually sit (bring a photo) and the two drills that undo most of it. £135, against £150 booked singly.

The package: three forty-five-minute sessions a fortnight apart with the desk review, £135.

06

Runners' and cyclists' blocks

For people training for something: six forty-five-minute sessions timed to the training plan, with the heavy work in the big weeks, the light work in the taper and a flush the week after the race. £270 against £300 booked singly, for marathon and half-marathon blocks, sportives, triathlons and anyone who has entered something and is slightly frightened of it.

Six forty-five-minute sessions, £270, booked against your training plan and moved if the plan moves.

Tight calves, a back that locks, headaches by four o'clock, a hamstring that grabbed, an Achilles that grumbles, a race this week. Pick the closest and the page says which treatment, how long, what it costs and why, before you book anything.

How we work

Four things that are true in both rooms.

Slots on the hour, booked online or by phone

Forty-five-minute treatments in hourly slots so nobody runs late and the room gets ten minutes of air between clients. Book the next free slot from this website up to two hours ahead, or ring and we find you one.

The first ten minutes are a conversation

What hurts, what you do all day, what you are training for, what you have tried. Then hands on. The first visit is the same price as every other because the ten minutes are in every slot.

Pressure you can breathe through

Deep is not the same as painful. We work to the depth that lets the muscle let go, which is usually the point where you can still hold a conversation, and we ask rather than guess.

Insured, registered, and honest about limits

Both therapists hold a Level 4 sports massage diploma, are registered with the Sports Massage Association and insured for £5 million. We do not diagnose, we do not treat what we should not, and we say when something needs a physio or a GP.

Race days

Under the gazebo at the finish, twenty minutes for £25.

Twenty-three events a year, from the Bay 10K to the Cardiff Half: light, warming work before the start and flushing work after, never deep tissue on legs that have just raced. The list for each event opens on this website the week before; the proper session is three to five days later in the clinic.

Runners

Six sessions put in the diary against my plan on day one, and Carys moved two of them without a murmur when I got a cold in week nine. The light one in the taper felt pointless and was the one that got me to the start with fresh legs. 3:41, eleven minutes off, and the calf that went last year did not go.

FfionRoath, a marathon block
Deep tissue

A shoulder knot I have carried since 2019 that three other people had pummelled. Jamal asked how deep, went slower and heavier than anyone has, and waited for it to let go rather than fighting it. Felt bruised on Tuesday, free on Wednesday, and I can turn my head to reverse the car.

Desk workers

The photo of me at my desk was humiliating and the most useful thing anyone has shown me about my headaches. Three sessions, the screen up on a box, two ninety-second drills I actually do, and the four o'clock headache has gone. I have not needed a fourth, which they said at the start I probably would not.

Questions people ask before they book

How much is a sports massage?

Thirty minutes £38, forty-five £50, an hour £65, ninety £90, the same for sports or deep tissue and the same on the first visit. The rehab block of four is £180, the desk-worker package of three £135, the runners' and cyclists' block of six £270. Twenty minutes at a race is £25. No VAT.

How do I see when you are free?

The next free slot is on the home page, worked out from the diary and the clock. The book page shows every free hour for the next fortnight: pick a day and the hours that are still open are listed. Book online up to two hours before a slot, or ring and we find you one.

Which treatment do I need?

Tell us what hurts and we tell you. The treatments page has a picker: choose the thing that is bothering you and it says which treatment, how long and what it costs. If it turns out to need a physio we say so in the first ten minutes and do not charge for them.

Is it going to hurt?

Firm, sometimes uncomfortable, never something you tense against: a muscle that is braced does not release. We agree the depth and keep checking. Expect a bruised feeling the next day after deep work, gone by the day after.

Do you treat injuries?

Muscle strains, irritated tendons and the tight tissue that loads a joint badly, yes, with a four-session block and a written plan. Anything that looks like a tear, a stress fracture, a joint or a nerve goes to one of three physios we trust first, with a letter, and we pick the soft-tissue work up again when they say.

I do not do any sport. Can I still come?

About half of our clients do not. Desks, driving, carrying children and stress shorten the same muscles that running does, in different places, and the desk-worker package exists because of them.
