I came eight months after my husband died, convinced I should be over it. Helen never once suggested I should be. I talked about him for weeks and it was the first time since the funeral anybody had let me.
Reviews
What clients say, with permission.
Counselling is private, so these are published only with the client's written agreement and with initials, not names. We have printed the four-star one too.

Six of a hundred and twelve.
We nearly cancelled the first session in the car outside. Dafydd was calm, fair and very hard to argue in front of. Fourteen sessions later we argue less and better, which is what we came for.
The first two sessions were practical and that alone got me sleeping again. Then we got to the real stuff. I was on the sliding scale and nobody made me feel like a charity case.
Video sessions fitted round two small children when nothing else would. The connection dropped twice and Helen rang straight back both times as agreed. I would have liked a few more evening slots.
We referred a member of staff after a death in the school community. She was seen within ten days, we were told the dates and nothing else, and she came back to work on her own terms.
Fifty-eight and never told anyone anything. Dafydd did not make a fuss about that. Somewhere around session six I realised I was looking forward to Thursdays.
We never ask current clients for reviews. Clients are invited, once, three months after their last session, through an independent platform; most choose not to, and that is fine.
Start with a free 20-minute call.
Talk to the counsellor you would see before anything is booked or paid for. Ask anything, including whether we are the right people. The diary shows the next free call; pick it, or ring and leave a message and we reply within a working day.
