Fees
One price a session, or what you can manage.
No packages, no deposits, nothing paid before the free call. Pay after each session. If £65 is more than you can manage, the sliding scale below works out a fee from your household income, and we take your word for it.

The sliding scale
Your fee from your household income.
Household income means the total before tax of everyone in your home who shares the bills, in a year. Benefits count; student loans do not. If your income has just changed, use what it is now. We keep 8 places a week on the scale; if they are full we will tell you in the free call and when one is likely to come up.
| Household income a year | One person | Couples |
|---|---|---|
| Up to £18,000 | £30 | £45 |
| £18,001 to £28,000 | £40 | £55 |
| £28,001 to £40,000 | £50 | £65 |
| £40,001 to £55,000 | £58 | £75 |

Questions about fees
Why do you not ask for proof of income?
Because asking people to prove they are hard up is humiliating and most people are honest. If you can afford a higher band later, we trust you to say.
Can my employer or insurer pay?
Employers can, through a workplace referral. We are not on health insurers' lists, but we give receipts, and some policies reimburse counselling with a GP referral; check yours.
Is there VAT?
No. Counselling by registered practitioners is exempt from VAT, so the fee is the fee.
