Shaker, in-frame, oak worktops, painted in your colour

Bespoke kitchens

Kitchens made in the workshop from solid timber and birch ply, painted by hand or sprayed in any colour, with oak or stone worktops, fitted by the people who made them.

A bespoke painted Shaker kitchen in sage green with a solid oak island worktop and brass handles in a Victorian house

A bespoke kitchen is not a dearer version of a showroom one. It is a different thing: made to the room, in the colour you want, from materials that can be repainted in twenty years rather than replaced.

Carcasses are birch plywood, not chipboard, with solid timber face frames for in-frame kitchens or dovetailed solid drawers for Shaker. Doors are made as frame-and-panel in tulipwood for paint or in oak for a natural finish, hand-painted on site or sprayed in the workshop. Hardware is soft-close throughout, with the drawer runners rated for the weight of a pan drawer rather than a cutlery tray.

We design the kitchen with you from a measured survey, drawn to scale with the appliances you have chosen, and make a sample door in your colour before the timber is ordered. The making takes six to eight weeks; the fitting a week to ten days, with plumbing and electrics by trades we have worked with for years, coordinated by us.

Worktops in solid oak, made here, or quartz and granite templated after the units are in. We also repaint and refit kitchens we made years ago, which is the quiet advantage of solid timber.

Questions about kitchens

How long does a kitchen take?

About twelve weeks from signing the drawing to cooking in it: six to eight weeks making, a week to ten days fitting, then stone if you have chosen it.

Can you match a colour from another brand?

Any paint colour from any range. We spray in a durable two-pack finish matched to the swatch, or hand-paint on site in the brand you prefer.

Start with a measure.

Ffion visits, measures the room and draws what will fit. The drawing comes with one price and a sample of the finish, and nothing is cut until you sign it.
