An hour on the seafront with a coach
One-to-one run coaching
An hour on the promenade or the track with Nia or Huw: your goal, your running, a plan for your week, and the changes that will help most.

Most runners do not need more running. They need the right running: easier easy days, one proper session a week, and a long run that is long enough.
The first hour starts with talking: what you want, what your weeks look like, what has gone wrong before. Then we run together along the seafront, easy, so we can see how you move and how your breathing sounds at different paces.
From a recent race or time trial we work out your training paces in minutes per kilometre, and you leave with a plan for the next four weeks written around the days you can actually run.
Most people book four sessions a few weeks apart: one to start, one to check, one to add a harder session, one before the race. Some come once a month for a year.

Questions about one-to-one
I am slow. Is one-to-one for me?
Very much. The slower and newer you are, the more one hour of good advice is worth.
Can we meet somewhere else?
Usually the promenade by the lighthouse or the school track. For trail coaching we meet at Rest Bay.
Do you coach online?
Yes, plans and video calls at the same price; most people come to one session in person first.
Your first club run is free. Tuesday, 6:30, the lighthouse.
Turn up five minutes early and find a coach in a teal jacket. There are four pace groups and a back marker who finishes last on purpose, so whatever your pace, you will not be running on your own.
