An office on John Street, a club on the seafront.

We do not run from the office; it is where plans get written and questions answered. The runs start at the lighthouse, the school track and Rest Bay.

A small whitewashed corner building on a narrow street with running shoes in the window, a bench and a bicycle outside

Four places, and getting here.

The office

6 John Street, Porthcawl CF36 3AP, off the top of the main street. Pop in Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm for plans, shoes advice and a chat; we do not run from here.

The lighthouse

Tuesday club runs and the couch to 5k groups meet at the lighthouse at the end of the pier car park, by the Eastern Promenade. Look for the teal jackets.

The track

Thursday sessions are on the school track off Park Avenue, ten minutes' walk from the seafront. Floodlit; spikes not needed.

Rest Bay

Saturday long runs and Sunday trail runs start at Rest Bay car park (pay and display, free before 8am). Toilets and a café by the car park.

Getting here

Buses from Bridgend station run every twenty minutes to Porthcawl bus station, five minutes from the lighthouse. Free parking on the Eastern Promenade before 9am and after 6pm.

Accessibility

The promenade route is flat and paved; the track is step-free. Runners with visual impairments are welcome; we can pair you with a guide runner.

Lost on the seafront? Ring 07700 900 113 and look for the teal jackets.

Your first club run is free. Tuesday, 6:30, the lighthouse.

Turn up five minutes early and find a coach in a teal jacket. There are four pace groups and a back marker who finishes last on purpose, so whatever your pace, you will not be running on your own.
