The studio
A cowshed on Church Lane, Llancarfan.
Ten minutes from Cowbridge and Barry, thirty from Cardiff. Consultations are mostly video; the studio is for album proofs, print viewings and the people who want to meet us first. Weddings within an hour of here have travel included, and most of ours are.

Getting here, and where we go
Where
Hafod Studio is the converted cowshed beside the house on Church Lane, Llancarfan, a village in the Vale ten minutes from Cowbridge and Barry. Consultations are mostly video; the studio is for album proofs, print viewings and the people who want to meet us first.
Getting here
Llancarfan is off the A4226 between Barry and Cowbridge; the lane is narrow and the studio has a gravel yard with space for three cars. Cardiff is thirty minutes, Bridgend twenty-five.
Where we shoot
Most weddings are within an hour: the Vale, Cardiff, the Gower, Bridgend, Monmouthshire and the Beacons, with travel included. Further afield, and abroad, is quoted at cost and we have shot in Cornwall, the Lakes, Tuscany and Donegal.
Access
The studio is on one level from the yard with a wide door. We come to you for a consultation anywhere in South Wales if that is easier, or do it by video, which most people prefer.
The gallery
Online, password-protected, full-size downloads, print rights, two years. Share it with whoever you like; we never post your pictures without asking, and some couples ask us not to at all, which is fine.
Hours
Weddings any day; the studio Tuesday to Friday by appointment; calls and emails answered Tuesday to Friday within the working day. On a Saturday we are at a wedding and the phone is off.
Lost in the lanes? Ring 01446 960 771. Look for the cowshed with the brass sign.
Check your date, then tell us about the day.
The availability page says which dates are already taken. If yours is free, the form takes two minutes, we reply within the working day, and a video call that week with a £400 deposit holds it. If it is gone, we will say so and suggest two photographers we would book ourselves.
