Thirty-eight cafés, restaurants, offices and shops serve our coffee. Here is what they pay, what they get with it, and what we expect back. It saves everyone a phone call.

Prices exclude VAT, which applies to roasted coffee at the standard rate. Invoiced monthly on 14-day terms; no contract and no minimum term. Five kilos a week is the floor for a café account on the van round; smaller accounts go by courier at the under-5kg rate.

What comes with it

Our coffee served badly is worse for us than no coffee.

Training

A half day with Amara for your whole team when you start: dialling in, milk, cleaning, the things that make a café's coffee good or bad. Repeated when staff change, for nothing.

Calibration

Owen visits every quarter to taste your espresso, reset the grinder, check the machine and leave a recipe on your board. Between visits, ring and he comes.

Machines, honestly

We do not sell machines or take commission. We will tell you what to buy for your volume, who to buy it from and what to avoid, and we will set it up.

Your counter

Retail bags at £6.50 with your card on the shelf, a 250g sample of each new single origin, and a mention on our wholesale page if you want one.

What we expect back

Three things, and we will say so if they slip.

Fresh coffee in the hopper and the old bag binned, not topped up. The machine backflushed every night and the grinder cleaned every week. And the recipe on the board followed until Owen changes it. That is the whole deal; cafés that do it serve coffee we are proud of, and the ones that cannot are better off with a roaster who does not visit.
