House blend, single origins, decaf, 250g and 1kg
Beans by the bag
Everything we roast, sold by the bag with the roast date on it: the house espresso at £9.50 for 250g, four single origins that change with the harvests, a decaf, and 1kg bags for people who get through it. Ground to your brewer on request.

A bag of coffee is the roastery in your kitchen, and it only works if you know how old it is and how to brew it. The date is on the front and the brew guide is on the back.
The shelf has six coffees at any time: Groundwork, the house espresso, which is on the grinder in the café and in thirty-eight others across the Vale; four single origins chosen from the harvests as they arrive, washed and natural, from Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Rwanda, Brazil and wherever else has been good that year; and the decaf. Each bag lists the farm or washing station, the region, the altitude, the process, the roast date and what we paid.
We grind to order for whatever you brew with, and the back of the bag has the recipe we use for it. Espresso is rested seven days before it is sold; filter four. Bags older than a month come off the shelf and go into the batch brewer. If you buy regularly, the subscription on the beans page sends 250g every fortnight for £8.50 with free local delivery.

Questions about beans
How should I store it?
In the bag it came in, rolled down, somewhere cool and dark. Not the fridge, not the freezer unless you are keeping it for months, and never in a glass jar on the windowsill. Buy 250g at a time and finish it within three weeks.
Come in, or have it delivered.
Open from half seven on weekdays, roasting in the window on Tuesdays, cupping on Saturdays at ten. Beans by the bag in the café or on a fortnightly subscription; wholesale from £24 a kilo with the price list online.
