Getting here, access and hours

Mostly we come to you

Nearly all our work is on your yard. We cover about 25 miles around Raglan: Usk, Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Monmouth, Chepstow, Caerleon and the villages between.

Cefn Farm

Cefn Farm, Usk Road, Raglan NP15 2HH. Half a mile from the A40 and A449 junction at Raglan. Look for the stone barn and the green truck.

Bringing a horse

We have a covered stock, a flat trotting strip and room for a lorry to turn. Please ring first, since we are usually out, and we will meet you here.

Round days

Mondays Usk and Raglan, Tuesdays Abergavenny and Crickhowell, Wednesdays Monmouth, Thursdays Chepstow and Caerleon. Friday is for catching up.

Collecting medicine

The office is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 9am to noon. Ring ahead and we will have it ready at the door.

Out of hours

The same number, every night of the year. Do not bring a horse to the farm in an emergency without ringing first. We will almost certainly be on our way to you.

Outside our area? Ring anyway. We will tell you who is nearer, and we will mean it, because a horse in trouble should not wait for the wrong vet.

Worried? Ring. Nobody here minds an unnecessary call.

A vet answers, day or night, and advice on the phone is free. For everything else, there is a round day.
