Skin check
How you burn, how you tan, your hair, your eyes, and your age. If you are fair, or under eighteen, the answer is a spray. We have no interest in selling sunbed minutes to someone they will harm.
Do it here, then we repeat it in the studio on your first visit, once a year, and whenever something changes.
Check my skinHow we work
If you burn easily, have red or very fair hair or a lot of moles, we will steer you to a spray and tell you why. We lose some sunbed money that way, and we are fine with that.
The World Health Organization classes UV tanning devices as a cause of cancer, and the risk goes up the earlier and more often you use them. A sunbed is a choice, so you should make it knowing that.
Carys mixes the shade to your skin, and it develops over eight hours. Nobody at work needs to know, and it washes off in a week.
Tell us the date and we will tell you when to come. Two days too early and it has started to fade, and on the morning itself it will not have developed.

Weddings
Nobody should try a shade for the first time two days before their wedding. The plan is a trial four weeks ahead, a shade agreed against your dress in the daylight, and the real one timed around your wax and your hair.
Clients
I had always avoided spray tans because of a bad orange experience fifteen years ago. Carys looked at my arm, mixed something, and nobody at work noticed anything other than that I looked well. It lasted a full week.
I went in for a course of sunbeds for a holiday. Carys asked about my hair and whether I burn, and then told me straight that I was the wrong skin for it, and booked me in for a spray instead. Not many shops turn away money.
The trial was a shade too dark against my dress, which is exactly why you have a trial. They lightened it and timed the real one for two days before. I looked like myself after a good fortnight in Spain.
If you burn easily, have fair or red hair or plenty of moles, a spray. If you want a colour with no UV at all, a spray. If you are an adult with skin that tans, it is your choice, after a skin check and knowing the risks. The skin check is here.
Eighteen for a sunbed, which is the law. Sixteen for a spray, with a parent's written consent.
Usually one or two days before. The timing tool gives you the date for your shade and your event.
No. A spray tan gives no protection at all, and a UV tan gives about SPF 2 or 3. Use a sunscreen either way.
No. UV tanning devices are classed by the World Health Organization as a cause of cancer. There is no safe UV tan, only less risky ways of having one.
Exfoliate the day before and shave or wax at least 24 hours before. Come with clean skin, no deodorant, in loose dark clothes.
The skin check tells you honestly whether a sunbed is right for your skin. A spray always is, and it has no UV in it at all.
