How we work
A few questions about your health, what you want from the hour and how firm, with a cup of tea, before the clock on your massage starts.
Both therapists hold Level 3 or Level 4 massage qualifications and treatment insurance, and both will say when something sounds like it needs a GP or a physio rather than a massage.
Light and slow, firm and steady, or deep and specific. We ask at the start and check during, and changing your mind is expected, not awkward.
The last Thursday slot starts at eight, so a ninety-minute massage after work is possible without taking the afternoon off.
Pregnancy massage
From fourteen weeks, by Nia, who holds a pregnancy massage qualification: side-lying, never on your front, working on the lower back, hips, shoulders and the feet that have started to swell. The questions beforehand are longer, and we ask that your midwife knows. Sixty minutes £60, ninety £85.

Booked hot stone in January because the voucher my sister gave me was about to run out, and I have been back every month since. The stones are warm, not hot, Nia checks every one, and I fell asleep twice. The tea afterwards in the window is part of it.
I drive for a living and my right shoulder lives up by my ear. Tomos asked what I do all day, warmed it up properly and then went slow and deep on the bits that matter. Sore the next day, loose for a fortnight. Thursday at seven means I do not lose a shift.
At thirty weeks I could not get comfortable anywhere. Nia propped me up on my side with more pillows than I own, worked on my lower back and my swollen feet, and asked about my midwife appointments first. I booked three more before my due date.

For most people, yes. We ask about your health first, and some conditions mean a different treatment, a lighter pressure or a word with your GP first: recent surgery, blood clots, some heart conditions, and pregnancy before fourteen weeks.
