Half mild for the kids and half xtra for my husband in one box, and the crunch survived the trip to Felinfoel. The gravy is real gravy. It has replaced the big chains in our house completely.

Ten honey-chilli wings and a dip for six quid with my college card. Every Tuesday since September. The skin on the wings is like glass.
Whole thigh, not a reformed patty, crisp to the edges, slaw that tastes made that morning. At hot it has a proper warmth without hurting.
The xtra is genuinely hot, which I asked for, and the girl on the counter did warn me. Four stars because twelve minutes is twelve minutes when you are hungry, but I get why: it is fried when you order.
Ordered at seven on a Friday, the site said forty-five minutes, it came in forty, still crunchy in the vented bag. Free delivery because we went over £25, which with a family of five is not hard.
The mac and cheese and the spicy rice are reasons on their own. Nobody else in town makes their sides.
About the four stars
Twelve minutes is twelve minutes, and Marc is right.
Every piece is fried when the ticket prints, and a thigh needs twelve minutes in the oil to be cooked through and crisp. We could hold fried chicken under a lamp and hand it over in ninety seconds; it would be worse, and we would rather you waited. What we have done: the website and the counter say twelve minutes before you pay, and if you ring ahead it is in the box as you walk in.
