Signal Lost
A Cold War listening post under the Welsh hills that went silent at 02:14. Radios that tune, a map table, Morse, a red telephone and a sequence that only works when everyone is doing their part at once. Our hardest room: one team in five gets out, and the record is 46 minutes.

Signal Lost is for teams who have done a few rooms and want one that pushes back. It is set in 1962 in a radio listening post dug into a hillside, and it is mostly sound: real valve radios that tune to real frequencies Ioan recorded, a Morse key, a bank of switches that has to be thrown in the right order, and a red telephone that rings when you least want it to. The puzzles chain together, so a mistake early on costs you later.
The room changes partway through, which is all we will say. It needs at least three people because the last sequence needs three pairs of hands at once, and it suits five. If anyone in your team cannot hear well, tell us when you book; we have a version of every sound puzzle that works by sight, and the game master will switch it on.
About 22 per cent of teams escape and the record is 46 minutes 3 seconds by a team of four in February. Most teams who do not escape book again; the second attempt is 20 per cent off and about half of second attempts get out.

Questions about Signal Lost
How hard is it really?
One team in five escapes. Most of those had played three or more rooms before. It is fair, not cruel, and every puzzle has been solved by forty test teams.
Is it claustrophobic?
The room is a bunker but it is large, with a high ceiling, and the exit door opens from the inside at any time.
