The entrance
5 Church Street, Cardiff CF10 1BG: a black door under the stone arch between the bank and the café, lit by a green lamp, two minutes from Queen Street and St Mary Street. Come down the stairs to the lobby; the rooms are in the old strongroom under the building.
Getting here
Cardiff Central and Queen Street stations are both ten minutes on foot; every bus into the centre stops within five. The nearest car parks are St David's and the Golate; the city centre is a clean air zone, so most people come by train.
When you arrive
Fifteen minutes before your slot for the briefing, the lockers and the loo. If you are late we start when you arrive and the game still ends on time, because the next team is waiting; ring if you are running more than ten minutes behind.
Access
The lobby and the rooms are down a flight of stairs, and there is a platform lift beside them from the street. The Night Safe and the Coal Exchange are fully accessible for wheelchair users; Signal Lost has one step we ramp. Every audio puzzle has a visual version on request.
Age and group size
Two to six players a room, Signal Lost and the Coal Exchange three or more. Ten years old and up; under-sixteens with an adult in the room. Anyone who has had too much to drink cannot play, which the game master decides at the briefing.
Hours
Games every day from 10:00 to the last start at 21:15, every 75 minutes in each room. The box office is open from 9:30 to 22:30; the phone from 9:30 to 8pm. Weekday mornings are kept for team building.
