The Night Safe

Night Safe on a Saturday, out with four minutes left after asking for every free clue. The game master played the watchman on the radio and was very funny about his reading glasses. The photo arrived that evening and is now on the fridge.

The Coal Exchange

The Coal Exchange is the best-researched room I have played anywhere: the ship names, the coal prices, a telegraph that actually clicks. We failed by forty seconds and booked again the same night.

Signal Lost

We have done thirty-odd rooms across the UK and Signal Lost is in our top three. Proper audio puzzles, a twist halfway, and a finale that needs all of you. We escaped with ninety seconds left and screamed.

Team building

Three rooms at once, then a debrief with clips of us arguing over a padlock. More useful than any away day we have done, and everybody was back at their desks by half twelve.

Parties

Two rooms racing each other then the lounge with cake: great start to the day. Four stars because the lounge was booked straight after us so we had to leave on the hour exactly, which we had not realised; they now tell you at the briefing.

Gift vouchers

Bought the posted voucher for my parents. The box with the key and the riddle was a bigger hit than the game, and then the riddle turned out to be a clue in the room. Dad has not stopped talking about it.

About the four stars

The lounge hour ends on the hour. We now say so at the briefing.

Kate's hen party had the lounge after their games, and another party was booked into it straight after, so they had to leave exactly on the hour mid-cake. It was in the booking email, but nobody reads the small print on a hen do. The game master now says it at the briefing, and when the next slot is free we let the party stay on at no charge.
