The skin-goal finder

The course priced before you bookThe skin-goal finder gives the treatment, the number of sessions, the gap between them and the course price. The prices page works out any course of one, three or six.
A patch test before every peel and laserTen minutes, free, at least 48 hours before the first session. If your skin reacts, we change the plan rather than carry on.
Laser registered with HIWIn Wales, class 4 lasers used for cosmetic treatment must be registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales. Ours is, with a laser protection adviser and written local rules.
Told when it is a doctor you needRosacea that is getting worse, a mole that has changed, acne that is scarring: we say so at the consultation and suggest you see your GP before spending money here.

Treatments

Six treatments, each priced.

All six

01

Facials

An hour on your skin, chosen on the day from what it needs: a deep cleanse, a gentle enzyme exfoliation, extractions where they help, a facial massage, a mask and SPF. The signature facial is £75; the clarifying facial for congested and oily skin, with careful extractions, £80.

Signature facial £75 for an hour; clarifying facial £80.

02

Chemical peels

Superficial peels for pigmentation, dullness, congestion and early fine lines, applied in layers and judged by your skin, not a timer: a gentle mandelic peel at £85 for sensitive and darker skin, and a glycolic and salicylic peel at £95. A free patch test at least 48 hours before the first.

Mandelic peel £85; glycolic and salicylic peel £95.

03

Microneedling

A medical-grade microneedling pen making fine, controlled channels in the skin to prompt it to make new collagen: for acne scarring, enlarged pores, texture and fine lines, under numbing cream, £195 a session, usually three to six sessions four weeks apart.

£195 a session with numbing cream and the aftercare kit.

04

LED therapy

Thirty minutes lying under a medical-grade LED panel: red light for calming and recovery, blue for breakouts, near-infrared after microneedling and peels. Painless and gentle enough for redness and sensitive skin, £40 on its own, £20 added to another treatment, usually as a course of six once a week.

£40 for thirty minutes; £20 added to a facial, peel or microneedling.

05

Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal with a class 4 diode laser registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, suitable for most skin tones, operated under written local rules: a test patch first, then six to eight sessions four to eight weeks apart, from £45 for the upper lip to £160 for the lower legs.

Upper lip £45, underarms £65, bikini line £75, lower legs £160 a session.

06

The skin consultation and skin scan

Thirty minutes to look at your skin properly: a skin scan that photographs it under ordinary, polarised and UV light to show pigmentation, redness and congestion you cannot see in the mirror, your routine and history, the contraindications, and a written plan with the treatments, sessions and price. £35, taken off your first course.

£35 for thirty minutes with the skin scan, taken off your first course.

How a course works

Four steps, and a second scan.

  1. The consultation

Thirty minutes, £35, the skin scan under three kinds of light, your routine and medication, and a written plan with the sessions and the price.

  2. The patch test

Ten minutes, free, at least 48 hours before the first peel or laser session. If your skin reacts, the plan changes.

  3. The sessions

Booked at the right gap from the start, with aftercare emailed the same day and a mobile number for questions.

  4. The second scan

The same three photographs after the course, side by side with the first. It is the honest way to see what changed.

Before any peel, needle or laser

The things that mean wait, or a different treatment.

Some medicines, pregnancy, cold sores, a recent tan and a few skin conditions change what is safe. We check every one at the consultation and again on the day. Here are the common ones, so nothing surprises you.

What the consultation checks
  • Isotretinoin, now or in the last six monthsNo peels, microneedling or laser until six months after the last dose. Facials and LED are fine.
  • Retinoids and exfoliating acidsStop five days before a peel or microneedling; start again five days after.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeedingNo peels, microneedling or laser. Facials and LED with pregnancy-safe products.
  • Cold soresNot while one is active. If you get them often, ask your pharmacist or GP about antiviral cover before a peel.
  • Sun, sunbeds and fake tanNone for two weeks before or after laser and peels. Tanned skin burns more easily.
  • Light-sensitising medicinesSome antibiotics and other medicines rule out laser and LED for a while. Bring your list.

How we work

Four things we will not change.

A consultation before a course

Thirty minutes and £35, taken off the first course: your skin under the scan, what you use on it now, your medication and history, and a plan with the sessions and the price written down.

No promises we cannot keep

Courses improve pigmentation, scarring and texture; they rarely erase them. We show you typical results for skin like yours and say how many sessions it usually takes to see a change.

Gentle on darker and sensitive skin

Darker skin tones and sensitive skin get the gentler acids, longer gaps and, for laser, the wavelength that suits them. The finder changes its answer when you tell it your skin is sensitive.

Aftercare written down

What to put on your skin for the next week, what not to, when to wear SPF 50 and why, sent by email the same day, with a mobile number for questions.

  • 48 hrsbetween a patch test and the first peel or laser session, at least
  • 20%off a course of six, worked out on the prices page
  • 4.9average rating

Red, sensitive skin

Sometimes the answer is less.

Acids and needles make red, reactive skin worse. For redness the finder suggests six weeks of LED and a pared-back routine, and if it looks like rosacea that is getting worse, we suggest your GP before you spend anything here. LED is £40 for thirty minutes, or £20 added to any other treatment.

Chemical peels

Two pregnancies left me with patches across my cheeks. Seren said honestly that melasma is stubborn, did a patch test, and six mandelic peels later the patches are faint rather than gone, exactly as she predicted. The before and after scans side by side were the proof I needed. I wear SPF 50 in January now.

Microneedling

Ten years of acne scars on my cheeks and I had been sold creams that did nothing. The consultation took thirty minutes and I left with a plan for six microneedling sessions and the exact price. Three months after the last one the dents are shallower and my skin looks smoother in daylight. Not perfect; better than I expected.

Laser

I asked about laser for my legs and Leah told me at the test patch that my fair hair would not respond and I should not pay for a course. She was right and I have been back for facials ever since because of it.

Questions people ask before they book

How much does a course of treatments cost?

The skin-goal finder gives the course for your concern and skin type with the price, and the prices page works out any course of one, three or six sessions: three save 10 per cent, six save 20 per cent. For example, six mandelic peels are £408 instead of £510, and three microneedling sessions £527 instead of £585.

Do I need a patch test?

Before any peel or laser course, yes: ten minutes, free, at least 48 hours before the first session. It shows how your skin reacts, and if it does, we change the plan.

Will it work?

Courses improve pigmentation, scarring, texture and dullness for most people; they rarely erase them, and results take time. The skin scan before and after a course shows honestly what changed. If we do not think a treatment will help you, we say so.

Is it safe for darker skin?

Yes, with the right choices: gentler acids, longer gaps, and for laser a diode wavelength and settings chosen at the test patch. The consultation decides, and we take more care, not less.

Are you doctors?

No. We are qualified skin therapists. We do not inject, prescribe or diagnose skin conditions, and we suggest your GP or a dermatologist when something needs one.

How do I book?

Every free hour for the next fortnight is on the book page, from the diary and the clock. Pick a day and an hour and send the form, or ring. New to us and booking a course? Start with the consultation.
