Who we are

Who runs it.

Two coaches, a treasurer, a tea rota and a lot of women who stay behind to put the goals away.

The two you will meet first

Both of them are volunteers, and neither will ask what position you played in 2004.

Bethan Griffiths, a woman of about fifty with short grey hair in a plain forest green waterproof coat, on a pitch at golden hour

Bethan Griffiths

Founder · Turn Up Tuesdays

Bethan came back to football at thirty-nine after twenty years away, could not find anywhere to play that was not full of twenty-year-olds, and started this club in 2014 with four friends and a borrowed ball.

She is a teaching assistant in Treorchy. She runs Tuesdays and will find you at the gate. She will also, without warning, ask you to run the quiz.

Jade Morgan, a woman in her thirties with curly hair tied up in a plain coral sweatshirt, beside a pitch in evening light

Jade Morgan

Head coach · Development and league

Jade played until a knee stopped her and now works as a physiotherapy assistant, which comes in useful. She takes the development squad and the league team on Thursdays.

Her coaching badges and first-aid certificate are placeholder wording on this demonstration site. Her view of warming up is not: you will do it.

Everyone safe

Adults here, and small children on Saturdays.

Coaches at the mums and kids sessions hold an enhanced DBS check and have taken the safeguarding course, and a named welfare contact, Bethan, is on 07700 900 176. Parents stay with their own children throughout. On this demonstration site the DBS and welfare wording is a placeholder.

Turn up on Tuesday. That is genuinely the whole plan.

Seven o'clock at Cae Dderwen, in whatever you have got. Your first month costs nothing. Bethan will find you at the gate, and nobody will ask you what position you played in 2004.
