Labour on every common job is a fixed figure. Parts depend on the car, so the pricer estimates them by size; if they come in cheaper, you pay less, and if a job turns out bigger, we ring before touching it.

Questions about prices
Why is the parts figure an estimate?
Because two Golfs of the same year can take different discs, and a diesel takes a different filter from a petrol. We order for your registration and you see the motor factor's receipt; if the parts come in under the estimate, you pay the lower figure.
What if the job is bigger than booked?
We stop, ring you with a photograph and a price, and carry on only if you say so. A seized bolt is our problem; a second worn part is your decision.
Is labour really fixed?
Yes, for every job on the list. If a clutch takes us nine hours instead of six, that is our time, not yours. Anything not on the list is £55 an hour, agreed before we start.
Can I supply my own parts?
You can, at the same labour price, but we cannot guarantee a part we did not buy. Most people find our parts price is close to the online one anyway.
