The Lean-to Café
Soup in the glass.
Twenty-four seats in a glass lean-to, sixteen on the terrace, open 9:30am to 4pm every day we are open. Today's soup is parsnip and apple.
The menu
Allergy codes: G gluten, M milk, E egg, C celery, Mu mustard, Sd sulphites, N may contain nuts. Our kitchen handles all the major allergens, so we cannot promise any dish is free of traces. Please tell us before you order.

About the café
Do you do gluten-free?
There is usually one gluten-free cake and a soup without flour. It is made in the same kitchen as everything else, so it is not suitable for coeliacs. Ask us at the counter.
Can I come just for the café?
Of course. Plenty of people do, some of them every Tuesday. There is no need to buy a plant.
Can we book for a group?
For eight or more, yes. Use the visit form or ring us. Otherwise it is first come, first served.
Open every day but three, on the hill above Bedwas.
Bring a photograph of the bed or a leaf in a sandwich bag. Free parking for sixty cars, soup in the lean-to and a van for anything that will not fit in yours.
