The house sourdough has been our Saturday loaf for six years. Crust you can hear, keeps until Wednesday, and they put one aside for us without being asked. The day-old basket is the best £2 in Cardiff.

Croissants as good as any I have had in France, and I say that as someone who is tiresome about croissants. Get there before ten on a Saturday or you will be having a bun, which is also excellent.
Our wedding cake was the lemon and elderflower, three tiers, delivered and set up at the cathedral hall by Ffion herself. The sketch was exactly what we got. Three guests have since ordered their own.
Forty loaves and sixty pastries a day, on the step before we open, for four years. Changing the order is a text. Megan comes round every quarter to check how we store it, which no other supplier has ever done.
Welsh cakes straight off the bakestone, proper ones, and the bara brith is the best I have had outside my nan's kitchen. Four stars only because the teisen lap is Fridays only and I can never get there on a Friday.
Did the Sunday sourdough class after two years of bricks at home. Found out in the first hour what I was doing wrong. Have baked every weekend since and emailed a photo of the first one; Megan replied the same night.
About the four stars
Teisen lap is Fridays only. Here is why we have not changed that.
Megan W. is right, and she is not the first to say it. Teisen lap is a plate cake that is best within a few hours of baking and does not keep the way bara brith does, so a Tuesday batch would be a Tuesday-afternoon problem. Fridays it sells out by lunchtime, which is the right amount. If you want one on another day, ring by 3pm the day before and we will make a plate for you; it costs the same.

Come for a loaf, come back for the croissants, and tell the next person what it was like. Good or bad, it stays up.
