A ninety-minute first visit at your home with a written plan, £95; follow-ups £65
One-to-one at home
A trainer comes to your house for ninety minutes, watches your dog in their own world, hears the whole story, and leaves a written plan the same week with the steps in order. Follow-up visits or walks are £65 an hour. For problems that happen at home, for dogs who cannot cope with a class, and for owners who want it done around their week.

Most dog problems happen at home: at the front door, on the sofa, at the food bowl, when the post arrives, when you pick up your keys. A home visit sees the problem where it lives, and the plan fits your house, your family and your dog rather than a class.
The first visit is ninety minutes. We ask about the dog's history, health, routine and diet, watch the dog at home and, if it helps, on a short walk, and then talk through what is happening and why. Before we leave you have the first two or three things to do; within three working days you have the full written plan by email, with the steps in order and a video of each exercise.
Common reasons for a visit are a puppy or rescue dog who has just arrived, jumping up at visitors, guarding food or toys, chewing, house training gone wrong, barking at the window, a dog and a new baby, and the problems that need their own programme, separation and reactivity, for which a visit is always the start.
Follow-ups are an hour, at home or on a walk where the problem happens, usually two to four weeks apart. Between visits the trainer answers messages on the same working day. Most problems that are not separation or reactivity need one visit and one or two follow-ups.
Visits are Monday to Saturday between nine and six within eight miles of Heath (Cardiff, Penarth, the Vale edge, Caerphilly and Pontypridd south); further out by arrangement with a travel charge. For any new or worsening behaviour we ask for a vet check first, because pain is behind more problems than people think.

Questions about one-to-one at home
How many visits will we need?
For most everyday problems, a first visit and one or two follow-ups. Separation and reactivity take longer and have their own programme. We will say at the end of the first visit what we expect, and we will tell you when you no longer need us.
Should everyone in the house be there?
Ideally yes, for the first visit at least: the plan only works if everyone does the same thing. Children are welcome and usually the most useful people in the room.
Do you take on aggressive dogs?
We work with dogs who growl, snap or have bitten, after a vet check, at home first and with a muzzle if it is needed. Where the risk is high we refer to a clinical behaviourist we work with and say so plainly.
Tell us about your dog. We will say what fits, and what it costs.
Two minutes on the form: your dog, their age, what is going wrong. We reply the same working day with the course or visit that fits and the next date, or book a free ten-minute call if you would rather talk first. Or ring Ffion in the office.
