Biscuit bit everything, including us, and Rhian's first-week plan stopped it in a fortnight. Six puppies in the pavilion, never chaotic, and the videos after every class meant we actually did the homework. He sat for the vet at his second jab and the nurse asked where we trained him.

Our springer had not come back since she was seven months old. Five Saturdays on a long line and a whistle, and she now recalls off a squirrel on the north field. Dan was clear that the long line comes back out the moment she slips, and the one time she did, it did. She is off lead on Heath Park every morning now.
We could not leave Luna for two minutes without howling the street down. Rhian watched the video, built a plan that started at five seconds, and checked in every fortnight. It took eleven weeks. Last month we went out for dinner and the camera showed her asleep with her chew. I cried, a bit.
Bruno lunged at every dog on the Taff Trail and we had stopped walking him in the day. The distance work felt silly for a month and then it clicked. Four months on he walks past dogs at five metres and looks at me for his treat. Bracken, their calm stooge dog, deserves a medal.
Four stars because the Tuesday evening classes moved into the pavilion in November and the space is tight for six adolescent labradors; our week four was a bit chaotic. Dan split the class into two halves for the next two weeks, which fixed it, and we got an extra free drop-in. The training itself is excellent and Maisie is a different dog on a lead.
Did Bronze with our rescue lurcher, who had never sat still for anyone. Eight Sundays on the field, the test in week eight with an examiner we had never met, and she passed with the stay being the hardest bit for both of us. The rosette is on the fridge and we start Silver in the spring.
About the four stars
Six adolescent labradors in the pavilion was too many. Now it is three and three.
Emma is right. When the Tuesday class moved indoors for the dark evenings, six adolescent dogs in the pavilion was fine on paper and chaotic in week four. Dan split the class into two halves of three for the next two weeks, and every winter adolescent class now runs as two halves of three indoors, with the second trainer taking one half on the lit path outside. Maisie got a free drop-in, and still walks beautifully.
