What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.
What we collect
When you use the form we collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode, what you are asking about, a date if you give one, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.
Players register with a name, date of birth, address and emergency contact, as the league requires. Clubhouse bookings keep a name, contact details and the booking.
Why we use it
- To answer you and to arrange bookings or sponsorship (our contract with you, or our legitimate interest).
- To register players with the league (our contract with you).
- To keep the club's accounts and comply with our licence (a legal obligation).
Under-18s
Players from 16 register with a parent or guardian's consent. We hold only what the league needs, and we do not publish photographs of under-18s without that consent.
Photographs
Match photographs are taken from public areas of the ground. Tell the secretary if you want one taken down and we will do it within a week.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted after six months. Booking and sponsorship records are kept for six years for accounting. Player registrations are kept for two seasons after a player leaves.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our using it or withdraw consent. Email secretary@garth-hill-afc.co.uk. We answer within a month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets a session cookie only when you send the form, to limit repeat submissions. The league table and clubhouse checker are worked out on the server and store nothing. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The map on the find-us page is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies.
