Christmas veg orders

The queue on Christmas Eve morning used to go past the bakehouse. Since 2009 people have ordered: the Christmas box or a list of their own, written in the book or sent from this website by 18 December, and picked up from the back of the shop on the 23rd or by noon on the 24th with their name on the bag.

The Christmas box for six to eight at £32: four kilos of roasting potatoes, two kilos of Welsh parsnips and two of carrots, a sprout stalk, a red cabbage, a swede, two kilos of onions, a bag of chestnuts, cranberries, a bunch of sage and one of thyme, and a bag of clementines for the stockings. Or write your own list and it is weighed at shop prices on the day.

Collect on the 23rd from eight until five, or on Christmas Eve from seven until noon, when we shut for the year. Delivery on the 23rd only, on the box round. A £10 deposit when you order, the rest on collection. We reopen on 2 January with whatever the market has that morning.
