Rhodri Evans
Owner and barber
Rhodri cut hair in Cardiff for a decade before opening on Taff Street in 2014 with two chairs from a closed-down shop in Merthyr. Classic cuts, scissor work and first haircuts are his, and he trained the other two.
The barbers
Rhodri opened the shop in 2014 and trained the other two. Whoever is free cuts the same way, which is why you do not have to wait for a particular barber unless you want to.

Barber
Kai did his apprenticeship here from 2017 and is the fade specialist: skin, drop, burst, whatever is on the phone screen. The mirror check from the back was his idea and is now the rule.

Barber
Bethan joined in 2019 from a shop in Bristol and does the hot towel shaves, the beards and most of the wedding parties. About four thousand cut-throat shaves and counting; nobody has ever been nicked.
House rules
Fades blended with a mirror behind you, necklines cut with a razor, beard lines shaped to your jaw rather than a template.
The board shows how many are waiting and roughly how long. If it says forty minutes, go for a coffee and come back; we will not have skipped you.
The board price includes the wash, the hot towel on the neck and the product to finish. Card, cash or phone.
A booster seat, a bribe drawer of lollies, and patience. Over-65s on weekday mornings are £12, and we will cut it the way you have had it since 1975.
Two chairs take walk-ins in the order you arrive; the board shows the wait. The third chair is booked online for a set time, a shave or a wedding morning.
