Order your repeat prescription on this website or at the counter, we request it from your GP, dispense it and text you when it is ready: collect from the shop or have the van bring it, free, anywhere in Caerphilly county borough. Blister packs for anyone who needs them, at no charge.
Most of what we do is prescriptions: fourteen thousand items a month for people in Caerphilly, Penyrheol, Trecenydd, Lansbury Park and the villages. The job is to make the repeat ones invisible: you tick a box, we do the chasing, and the bag is ready when we said it would be.
Order on the prescriptions page, by phone, or by dropping the slip in. We send the request to your surgery electronically, follow it up if it has not come back in a day, dispense it, check it twice, and text you when it is ready. If an item is out of stock nationally, and some are, we ring you with what we can do rather than leave a note in the bag. Repeat items can be set to re-order automatically a week before they run out, so you never do the maths.
Collect from the counter any time we are open, or have the van deliver Monday to Friday, free, to any address in the county borough; the driver texts before he knocks and leaves nothing on a doorstep. Anyone who finds a week of tablets hard to manage can have them in a dated blister pack at no charge, and we will talk to the surgery about simplifying a long list if it looks like one.

What it costs

Questions about prescriptions
Do I have to nominate you?
For electronic prescriptions it helps: tell your surgery, or tell us and we will. You can still bring a paper prescription from any surgery, any time.
What if the surgery has not sent it?
We chase it. If a repeat is overdue by a day we contact the surgery and tell you what they said. If you are about to run out, ask for an emergency supply and we will usually manage it.
