Lunch, company, and home for tea

Day visits

A day here, one or more days a week, with lunch and whatever is on. Good company for someone at home, and a day off for whoever looks after them.

Plenty of people come here for a day, a couple of days a week, and go home for tea. Some have been coming for years. It is also how many families find out whether they like the place.

Come at ten, for tea and a read of the Evening Post or the Guardian. Have whatever activity is on, or nothing if you would rather sit. There is a proper cooked lunch at half past twelve, and a sit in the garden if the weather allows.

We can help with personal care and medicines during the day. Ask the council's social services if you can get help with the cost. There is a list of what is on today on the a day here page.

What is included

  • Lunch, tea and cake

Questions about day visits

Do I have to come every week?

No. Come when it suits you, and tell us the day before if you can.

Can someone with dementia come?

Usually, yes. We would like to meet first and talk about what makes a good day for them.

Come and see us. Any day.

No appointment. Ring the bell at any reasonable hour, and someone will show you round and put the kettle on. If you want to talk about money or care plans with Menna, ring first so that she is free.
