Finance
Finance, without the fog.
One product, hire purchase, from a small panel of lenders. No fees, no balloon unless you ask for one, and a calculator that tells you the whole cost, not just the monthly.
How it works
Hire purchase is the simple one. You put down a deposit, borrow the rest over one to five years, and the car is yours at the end with nothing more to pay. We are a credit broker, not a lender: we take one application and place it with the lender on our panel most likely to say yes at the best rate for your circumstances.
A decision usually takes under an hour in showroom hours. You can apply before you visit, and a soft search at the first stage leaves no mark on your credit file.
What you need
- To be over 18 and a UK resident with three years of address history
- A driving licence and proof of address
- Income you can show: payslips, or accounts if you are self-employed
Part-exchange as the deposit
Most customers use their old car as the deposit. We value it, settle any finance on it, and the balance comes off the price of the new one. If your old car is worth more than the deposit you want to put down, you have the difference in your account the same day.
Representative example
Borrowing £11,245 over 48 months on a car costing £12,495 with a £1,250 deposit: 48 monthly payments of £284.68, total amount payable £14,914.41, total cost of credit £2,419.41. Representative 9.9% APR, fixed rate of interest 9.9% a year. Finance subject to status.
Can I settle early?
Yes, at any time. You pay the outstanding balance less a rebate of interest. Overpayments are allowed on every agreement we arrange, and we will tell you which lenders charge nothing for it.

Finance questions
Will applying affect my credit score?
The first stage is a soft search, which you can see but other lenders cannot. A full search only happens once you have accepted an offer and want to proceed.
I have had credit problems. Is it worth applying?
Usually, yes. Our panel includes lenders who look at affordability now rather than history alone. The rate will be higher than the representative one, and we will show you the whole cost before you decide.
Can I put the deposit on a credit card?
Up to £1,000 on a credit card, any amount on a debit card or by bank transfer, or a part-exchange, or a mix.
What about PCP?
We can arrange it on cars under five years old, but we tend to steer people towards hire purchase on used cars: the monthly looks higher but the car is yours and there is no balloon to find. Ask and we will show both side by side.
Found the one? Or need one fixing?
Ring the showroom, book the workshop online, or drop in. We are two minutes off the A468 with parking outside the door.
