Takeaway and delivery
Takeaway: the time from the clock.
Ring or order and we say when the bag will be on the counter: twenty-five minutes from now, rounded up to the next five, while the kitchen is open. Ten per cent off the menu price for collection; our own driver to three zones with the fees published; and we are not on the apps, so the price here is the price.

Collection time and how to order
The kitchen is closed for tonight. It opens tomorrow at 5pm; order ahead and the first collection is at 5:25pm. Last orders thirty minutes before the kitchen closes. In the first half hour after the tandoor is lit, tandoor dishes take ten minutes longer.

Four steps, and ten per cent off.
Order
Ring 029 2018 0560 or send the order on the booking form with the time you want. The menu page has every dish with its heat and its flags.
We quote the time
Twenty-five minutes from the order, rounded up to five. For eight mains or more, give us an hour. We text if the tandoor is running behind.
Pay at the counter
Card or cash on collection, ten per cent off the menu price. Delivery is paid to the driver by card or cash at the menu price plus the zone fee.
Collect, or wait in
The counter is just inside the door on the left; there is usually a space outside for five minutes. Delivery is by our own driver, Marcus, on the Roath round since 2016.

The bag
Foil and card, the bread wrapped on its own, the rice in its own box.
Curries travel well if nothing steams them: the naan goes in paper, not in with the rice; the rice has its own box; tandoor dishes go in a card box with the salad and chutney in pots, not on top. No plastic. The heat scale applies to takeaway the same as the table, and a dish a notch either way is cooked that way, not sauced after.

Questions about takeaway
Why are you not on the delivery apps?
They take about thirty per cent, which either comes off the kitchen or goes on your bill. We would rather charge the menu price, give collection customers ten per cent, and pay our own driver properly.
Can I order ahead for later?
Yes: say the time you want on the takeaway page or on the phone and we cook it for then. For a big order (eight mains or more) give us an hour.
A table on Albany Road, or a bag on the counter in twenty-five minutes.
Book a table for dinner, the Sunday thali for six or more, or the back room for twenty on one form, with a reply within the hour while the kitchen is open. For a takeaway, the takeaway page quotes the collection time from the clock and takes ten per cent off.
