Ordered on the website at 6:40 and it said ready at 7:05, and at 7:05 the bag was on the counter with my name on it. The chicken tikka is thigh and you can tell. Ten per cent off for walking round the corner, which is more than the apps ever gave me.

Six little bowls, puris that arrive like balloons, and a second helping of the dal for £2.50. Our daughter has the £8 one and eats more than we do. We go at half twelve because by one you are waiting, and they warn you about that on the website.
The only Indian in Cardiff where I have filtered the menu to vegan on my phone and found thirteen things rather than two. The aubergine and tamarind special is the best thing I have eaten this year, and they cook the vegan dishes in their own pans and will tell you so.
Dad's seventieth. Anjali sat with us a week before and sorted two vegans, a coeliac and an uncle who wanted a vindaloo, and on the night nobody had to explain anything. £35 a head, no room charge, no service charge, and they plated the cake we brought.
Food is excellent and the driver is a gent. Four stars because on a Saturday at half eight they closed zone three for an hour and we had to wait; to be fair the website said so at the time and the lamb shank was worth it. Order before eight if you are out west.
Naan with real blisters because it is a real tandoor, lamb chops pink the way we asked, and a menu with the heat marked so my husband can have his four and I can have my one at the same table. Fourteen years in and it has never slipped.
About the four stars
Gareth is right that zone three closes on a busy Saturday. From November there are two drivers after seven.
One driver can do Roath and the Heath in forty minutes on a Saturday night and cannot do Llandaff as well without the food arriving lukewarm, which is why we close zone three for an hour rather than deliver badly. From November a second driver runs Friday and Saturday from seven to ten, and zone three stays open. Until then the takeaway page says when it is shut, and an order placed before eight goes out before the rush.
