Collection in twenty-five minutes with ten per cent off; our own driver to three published zones with the fees in the open
Takeaway and delivery
Ring or order on the takeaway page and we quote the collection time from the clock: twenty-five minutes from now, rounded to the next five, within kitchen hours. Ten per cent off the menu price for collection. Delivery by our own driver to CF24 for £2.50, to CF23, CF14 and CF10 for £3.50, and to CF11 and CF5 for £4.50, free over a published amount in each zone, with a £15 minimum. We are not on the apps.

A takeaway should tell you when it will be ready and what it will cost, so this page does both. The collection time is worked out from the clock when the page loads: twenty-five minutes from now, rounded up to the next five minutes, and if the kitchen is closed it says when it opens and when the first bag will be ready. The delivery zones and fees are published, and we are not on the apps because the apps take thirty per cent and we would rather give you ten.
Collection: ring 029 2018 0560 or use the takeaway page, which sends the order to the kitchen printer and emails you the collection time. Pay at the counter by card or cash; ten per cent comes off the menu price. Orders in the first half hour after the tandoor is lit (four on weekdays, eleven at the weekend) are told that tandoor dishes take ten minutes longer. Everything is packed in foil and card, not plastic, with the bread wrapped separately and the rice in its own box so nothing steams. Last collection orders are taken thirty minutes before the kitchen closes.
Delivery: our own driver, Marcus, has done the Roath round since 2016 and knows which doorbells work. Zone one is CF24 (Roath, Plasnewydd, Adamsdown, Splott), £2.50 and free over £25, thirty to forty minutes. Zone two is CF23 (Penylan, Cyncoed), CF14 (Heath, Birchgrove, Llanishen south) and CF10 (the city centre), £3.50 and free over £40, thirty-five to fifty minutes. Zone three is CF11 (Grangetown, Canton) and CF5 (Llandaff, Fairwater, Ely), £4.50 and free over £60, forty-five to sixty minutes. Further than that is collection only, and on a Saturday night after eight we may close zone three for an hour if the driver is behind; the takeaway page says so when it happens.

Questions about takeaway
Why are you not on the delivery apps?
They take about thirty per cent, which either comes off the kitchen or goes on your bill. We would rather charge the menu price, give collection customers ten per cent, and pay our own driver properly.
Can I order ahead for later?
Yes: say the time you want on the takeaway page or on the phone and we cook it for then. For a big order (eight mains or more) give us an hour.
A table on Albany Road, or a bag on the counter in twenty-five minutes.
Book a table for dinner, the Sunday thali for six or more, or the back room for twenty on one form, with a reply within the hour while the kitchen is open. For a takeaway, the takeaway page quotes the collection time from the clock and takes ten per cent off.
