Membership
Full membership £22 a month, off-peak £14, junior £7. One month's notice to leave. Ladder, box leagues and club night are all included.
We ask for a standing order and one month's notice. There is no joining fee, no twelve-month contract and nobody will try to upgrade you to anything.
A full member can book any court at any hour up to a week ahead, at £5 for 45 minutes at peak times and £3 off-peak. Off-peak members pay less each month and play outside the 5 to 9pm rush and the Saturday morning leagues. Everyone gets a key fob to the side door, because some of our best games start at 7am before a shift.
Your fee pays for the lights, the insurance and the sanding of the floors. The club is run by its members, with a committee elected every May. It owns its shed outright, which is the only reason squash is still this cheap in Port Talbot.
You go on the bottom of the ladder the day you join, and into the next box league round. If you would rather just knock about with a friend, nobody will mind.

What it costs

Questions about membership
How do I leave?
Tell the secretary and cancel your standing order after a month. There is no form.
Can I pause if I am injured?
Yes, for up to six months. Send a line and we stop the standing order until you are back.
Do shift workers get anything?
Off-peak suits most shift patterns. Ask us if yours does not fit and we will sort something out.
First game is on us. Bring shoes that do not mark.
Ring or send a line and someone from the club will give you a game at about your level, lend you a racket and tell you honestly what you are doing wrong.
