What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.
What we collect
When you use the form we collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode, what you are interested in, when you can play, a date if you give one, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.
Members give us contact details, a standing order reference and booking history, and their names and results appear on the ladder and box league sheets. For juniors we also hold a parent's or carer's details, an emergency contact and any medical information you choose to give us.
Why we use it
- To answer you, and to run your membership, bookings, ladder and leagues (our contract with you).
- To keep children safe and to act in an emergency (legal obligation, vital interests and, for medical information, your explicit consent).
- To keep accounting records (a legal obligation).
The ladder
Members on the ladder have their name and recent result shown on the wall and on this website. Tell the captain if you would rather be shown by first name only, or not at all. Under-18s are never named online.
Photographs
We do not publish photographs of named children. Group photographs including under-18s are used only with a parent's written consent.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to membership are deleted after six months. Membership records are kept for two years after you leave, and accounting records for six years. Safeguarding records are kept for as long as the law and national guidance require.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our using it or withdraw consent. Email courts@the-back-wall-squash.co.uk. We answer within a month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets a session cookie only when you send the form, to limit repeat submissions. The ladder and court prices are worked out on the server and store nothing. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The map on the find-us page is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies.
