I have been on the ladder for eleven years and I have been trying to get above Rhodri for about ten of them. It is the only thing that gets me out at seven in the morning.

What they say.
Six members, including one who is entirely right about the showers. We print no scores, and we do not ask anyone to say anything.

Six of them.
Started at 44 on the Monday course, because a mate dared me. Dai told me to stop swinging like I was chopping wood. I now play twice a week, and my legs have forgiven me.
Off the shift at six and on court at seven. You will not find that for three quid anywhere else round here, and nobody looks at you funny for having a shower at quarter to eight in the morning.
Good club, cheap and friendly, but the changing rooms are stuck in 1985 and the showers have two moods. It would not kill you to spend some of the subs on it.
I gave up squash at sixty when my knee told me to. Wednesday racketball is the same fun at half the price, for my knee anyway.
My lad goes on a Saturday, goggles on and shouting. I watch through the glass with a coffee. Cath knows everybody and I know who to ring.

About that complaint
Nikhil is right about the showers.
The changing rooms date from 1985 and it shows. The boiler has moods. The committee voted last May to do the floors first, because the floors are what you pay for, and to do the men's and women's changing rooms next, one at a time, so that nobody goes without.
The fund is on the noticeboard by the kettle. Anyone who has ever fitted a shower is welcome to come and talk to Samina.

First game is on us. Bring shoes that do not mark.
Ring or send a line and someone from the club will give you a game at about your level, lend you a racket and tell you honestly what you are doing wrong.
